Perez & Perez Architects Planners, Inc.; under a supplemental services contract, managed the final design and construction administration of the South Terminal Expansion, Concourse J, and the Concourse H Internationalization programs over a 10-year timeline at MIA. Various project delivery milestones were achieved while minimizing the impact on ongoing airside operations at the existing facilities and integrating new projects seamlessly into full aviation service. The South Terminal complex comprises Terminal H for passengers, designed by Perez & Perez, Terminal J passenger concourse designed by MGE Architects, and the South Terminal designed by Borelli & Associates in conjunction with Mateu Carreno Rizo & Partners. The South Terminal accommodates an average flow of 16 million passengers annually, offering 32 boarding gates for international and domestic flights and serving airlines such as Lan Avianca, Air France, Bahamasair, Delta, and USAir.
Perez & Perez provided Program Management Supplemental Services for the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department. This included project management, design management, design coordination, construction coordination, construction administration, as well as document and change management control for the project. Perez & Perez Architects Planners, Inc. spearheaded the modernization of Terminal H within the South Terminal complex. Their focus on enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency drove the design process, ensuring seamless integration of Terminal H with the overall complex.
