Perez & Perez led the design and transformation of Miami International Airport’s Terminal H, a major 23,000 m² facility accommodating 17 gates and supporting both domestic and international flights. The terminal was designed in compliance with FAA standards and has received recognition from the AIA (American Institute of Architects) for design excellence.
This multi-phase project included the demolition and reconstruction of a three-level headhouse featuring double-height hold rooms, the integration of four sterile cores, and the conversion of a third-level corridor into a sterile connection to the new Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facility. The comprehensive renovation also included the reconstruction of nine gates across three levels, encompassing passenger circulation, departure lounges, ramp operations, and advanced baggage handling systems—all completed while maintaining airside operations.
This expansion prioritizes passenger comfort and efficiency, incorporating moving sidewalks, VIP lounges, and curated design elements that reflect Miami’s vibrant cultural identity.
